In June, Da' headed out west
to set up base camp in a new place.

Then in August, we did the 21st
Century version of "The Oregon Trail."

Part Two - On The Road

Hey hey it's me, Hamish !! ... the getting-used-to-long-distance-car-motion-the-hard-way Welshie!

Boy, there sure was a lot of nuthin' for the first day...

With the luggage in the roof carrier, I had the whole back seat for myself.
...

Of course I chose to ride in Mom's lap for reassurance.

But after a while, I started to get interested in the views.
...

Of course, frequent walkies helped too. Here we stopped in Colorado.. or was it New Mexico?

At night we went to a strange little one room house. Hey my blue man! I thot it was lost.... now I feel better.

..

Day Two - Wyoming was one boring endless highway...

...at least Utah had some rocks 'n' bushes 'n' stuff.B

..

v
From out of the West comes...
Rin-Tin-Hamy!

Wha? another one room house for the night? Boy, I just don't get this travel thang.
....

Day Three - This is a pet rest area in Idaho. I guess we were supposed to be impressed.

Oregon Trail, Oregon schmail, I'm getting tired of these photo ops. Are we there yet?

....

Oooh, is that the ocean thingy I've been hearing so much about? No? Just a river! Rats.

After three days, I'm kinda starting to like this car stuff. Check me out, I'm G-O-ing and it's even fun now!
